The History of Addiscombe
Our area started to grow up in the late 1860s with the sale of the East India College coinciding with the arrival of the Croydon and Addiscombe railway lines.
As a residents association we have been fortunate to have received National Lottery funding to write the history of Addiscombe. We thought it important to preserve memories before they are lost. We are very grateful to the 50 contributors to our first book and the amazing 108 contributors to Volume II.
